HERE YOU WILL FIND ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS RELATING TO DOCUMENT DELIVERY.

How do you find which Australian libraries are using Ariel?
Check the ILRS Directory, under methods of supply for each library.

Why does the real price of Express Post bags differ to the charge in the Australian Interlibrary Resource Sharing Code?'
The price of Express Post bags differs depending on the quantity purchased. Many libraries use a courier service instead of Express Post and the charge here also differs. The charges in the Code are recommended only and libraries may elect to impose a different charge.

As a requesting library do I need to include in my request a Copyright declaration, and as a supplying library do I need to ensure a Copyright declaration is included in any request I supply?
No. The onus of ensuring Copyright compliance is with the requesting library which must keep appropriate records. There is no requirement in the Copyright Act for libraries to exchange declarations with requests. A supplying library may assume a request received from another library is Copyright compliant.
